The puzzle alone had been a step up (plus mental and intricate) from many more cozies I’ve see, and that I would classify this as just a plain great puzzle that should attract not simply to puzzle audience but contemporary ladies fiction and, in conjunction with those who like a good «witch» book. The miraculous component ended up being fun, imaginative and weird (literally checking a Toad’s feces for signs of psychic power), including the «extract & Muzzle»: «The extract might have pulled Nora backwards of the waist into their room, whilst muzzle could have stored the girl mouth area shut.»
Although the family demons and crisis loomed large (especially in the example of the Graves parents), together with the unpleasant but cathartic fictional character arc of Brynn recovering from losing the girl young spouse, there is nevertheless enough laughter to lighten those more serious design, particularly in the scenario of Aunt Nora’s vocalizations of what hexes she wanted to cast on different individuals who displease her in the tale.
